This bur can be used in large dogs with thick vestibular bone to aid root exposure for surgical extraction instead of the 701 L bur if preferred.  It removes thick bone more quickly due to the deep flutes and smaller surface area, however, care must be taken in that regard to minimize extension beyond bone and into the tooth roots themselves.

The round bur shape facilitates complete tooth extractions, making it ideal for a wide range of veterinary dental procedures.
