PerioVive

Transform your dental outcomes with just one dose

The PerioVive veterinary medical device is a hyaluronic acid (HA) gel that comes in a pre-filled tissue applicator for convenient and precise delivery. Studies show that a single dose of HA post-procedure accelerates tissue healing, increases bone formation, and reduces probing pocket depth across a wide range of dental settings.

PerioVive™: Advanced Hyaluronic Acid Gel

Powerful Healing for Soft Tissue and Bone Regeneration

PerioVive harnesses the natural power of hyaluronic acid (HA), a component naturally present in connective tissue. This veterinary-formulated gel delivers comprehensive support for soft tissue conditions and bone defects in a single, easy-to-apply treatment.

1. Primary Application: Periodontal Pockets

Transform Soft Tissue Healing
PerioVive demonstrates numerous beneficial effects on soft tissue healing following closed root planing and subgingival curettage. Unlike antibiotics that only fight bacteria, PerioVive reconstructs the healing environment.

  • Reduced Pocket Depth (PPD): Statistically significant improvements.
  • Increased Attachment: Clinical attachment level (CAL) gains.
  • Reduced Inflammation: Decreased bleeding on probing (BOP).
  • Patient Comfort: Reduced pain following periodontal therapy.
Guide to Periovive HA: Regenerative Advantage and Protocol

Follow the 4-step protocol: Diagnose, Root Plane, Curettage, and Apply.

2. The Science: How PerioVive Works

Our advanced formula works through multiple mechanisms to deliver comprehensive healing. It acts as a scaffold and space maintainer while actively modulating the cellular environment.

  • Modulates Inflammation: Scavenges inflammatory cell-derived reactive oxygen species.
  • Cellular Promotion: Promotes migration and differentiation of fibroblasts involved in tissue formation.
  • Bacteriostatic Defense: Provides bacteriostatic effects against periodontal pathogens.
  • Angiogenesis: Facilitates new blood vessel formation, crucial for wound healing.
  • Osteoinduction: Stimulates bone wound healing.

3. Advanced Care: Extraction Sites & Bone Regeneration

Structural Support When It Matters Most
PerioVive isn't just for pockets; it promotes powerful regeneration in challenging areas, showing remarkable results in Class II furcation defects and intrabony defects.

  • Accelerated Bone Formation: Significant improvements even in infected extraction sockets.
  • Better Mineralization: Formation of new alveolar bone with greater density compared to untreated sites.
  • True Regeneration: New acellular cementum and functionally oriented periodontal ligament fibers.
HA for Extraction Sites: Healing Benefits and Protocol

Combine PerioVive with an absorbable scaffold (like Gelfoam) for optimal extraction site results.

4. Clinical Efficiency & Economics

Stop struggling with difficult-to-mix gels. PerioVive offers superior usability and economics compared to traditional Doxycycline or Clindamycin gels.

Why Switch to PerioVive?

  • Extended Shelf Life & Usability: You can use a single syringe for multiple pockets and between different patients for up to two weeks.
  • Simple Hygiene Protocol: The recommendation is to simply change the applicator tips out between patients—no waste.
  • High ROI per Tube: Each tube effectively treats 6-8 pockets.
  • Superior Performance: Easier to apply than Doxyrobe or Clindoral, with twice the efficacy.

Ready to Upgrade Your Periodontal Protocol?

Give your patients the benefit of true regeneration and reduced post-op pain.

The power of hyaluronic acid

Image of DrBrettsPets PerioVive The power of hyaluronic acid

How it works

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring biomaterial that has been proven safe and effective in both humans and dogs for a variety of indications, including dentistry. Periodontal applications of HA have shown statistically significant efficacy in 5+ canine studies and 100+ human studies. Additionally, HA may prevent progression to more severe periodontal disease and reduce required tooth extraction

How it sticks

HA is extremely hydrophilic, absorbing 1000x its weight in water. When contacted with fluids such as water or blood, it increases in viscosity. And on a microscopic level, it binds to specific cell surface receptors, enhancing extracellular stability.
