The Veterinary Dental Vet-Tome Mechanical Extraction Periotome makes surgical and simple extractions in dogs and cats more efficient and less frustrating.

This device is strongly recommended for any veterinary practice performing 1 or more dentistry extraction procedures per week.

The Vet-Tome is an automated peristome with foot pedal operation that offers precise tooth extraction with minimal or no alveolar bone removal and less trauma.

The up-and-down oscillation moves down the periodontal ligament space between the root and the bone to mobilize teeth quicker for expedited extractions with minimal elevation required.

The iM3 Vet-tome is a major advancement in tooth extraction. Dr Brett Beckman, veterinary dentist, demonstrates its use for the difficult maxillary 3rd premolar in a dog.

The electric Vet-Tome uses replaceable ultra-thin stainless steel tips/blades coupled with the mechanical in-and-out action generated by the handpiece to cut the periodontal ligament, similar to a Luxator (hand instrument).

Supplied with 2 standard flat for cats and small dogs and 2 heavy Stainless steel tips for med to large dogs. The Vet-Tome decreases hand fatigue and speeds up the procedure time with less trauma to the patient.

Please note: closure of extraction sites is still recommended with the exception of some incisor extractions

I love my vet-tome

I've been using the vet-tome for at least four years and I love it. Since it is only strong enough to break down the periodontal ligament... I find it very safe to use. You also can't use the instrument to create torque...so it ensures you're not breaking any roots. I find it's my most reliable instrument for the most fragile mouths and jaws. It also makes lower canine extractions much more straight forward whether you incorporate a flap or not.
